We are currently seeking a temporary Intern to join our Boart Longyear team in Salt Lake City The Fixed Assets Team Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the Fixed Assets team with day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and assisting with various projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance or accounting student to gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in asset management within a dynamic corporate environment.
Responsibilities
Data Management : Assist in maintaining and updating fixed asset records in the accounting system.
Reconciliation : Support the reconciliation of fixed asset accounts and physical inventory counts.
Reporting : Help prepare reports on fixed asset activities, including acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
Audit Support : Assist in preparing documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
Compliance : Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards related to fixed assets.
Project Assistance : Participate in special projects, such as system upgrades, process improvements, and policy updates.
Documentation : Aid in the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for fixed asset management.
Collaboration : Work closely with other finance team members and cross-functional departments to ensure accurate asset management and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be authorized to work in the USA
Must have valid Driver’s License
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance is a plus but not required.
Eagerness to learn, proactive attitude, and willingness to take on new challenges.
