What will you do :
As an Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for managing and consulting on complex building projects, providing leadership and expertise to internal and external project teams.
You will oversee all phases of projects, including design development, coordination of construction drawings, and incorporation of design intent into construction documentation.
Collaborating closely with architects and contractors, you will develop with a team of experts the building technology details and ensure effective integration.
Additionally, you will prepare project proposals, and provide technical expertise to clients. Your role will involve maintaining project document files, performing quality assurance reviews, and leading the engineering of Smart Building projects.
You will foster a collaborative team culture, select and manage contractors and vendors, monitor project expenses, and enforce quality assurance and safety protocols.
Acting as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, you will provide regular updates, collaborate with internal teams and regulatory authorities, and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
You will develop comprehensive project plans with major milestones and dependencies, ensure adherence to project metrics, and contribute to the growth and professional development of staff.
How you will do it
Manage and consult on complex building projects (program?), providing leadership and expertise to internal and external project teams.
This includes overseeing all phases of Smart Building engineering projects, from design development to coordination of construction drawings.
Coordinate with the design team across domains to incorporate design intent into construction documentation and specifications, ensuring that the project aligns with the master developer and client's requirements and expectations.
Work closely with architects and contractors to develop details related to building technology, ensuring that the technology infrastructure is integrated effectively.
Maintain project document files, including meeting notes, financial information, client correspondence, and project schedule.
Perform quality assurance reviews on technical documents at different phases of the project to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing among team members.
Monitor project expenses and ensure alignment with the budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.
Implement and oversee quality assurance programs to ensure project deliverables meet established standards, while enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously, completing them on time, within budget, and in accordance with agreed scopes.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget with milestones and dependencies, in collaboration with engineering partners, and ensure adherence to project metrics, schedules, and staffing requirements.

Proven track record of achieving objectives on schedule and within budget, with full project life cycle experience.
Strong skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, and scheduling.
Experience in managing multiple projects, clients, and vendor teams, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals.
Ability to collaborate and lead multiple technical disciplines, collect input, and write complete study reports.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize responsibilities in a pressure work environment.
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, clients, regulators, and company-wide staff.
Flexibility to adapt to change and work schedules to meet business needs.
Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience in managing design and construction projects, ranging from $1M up to $25M.
Preferred :
Multidisciplinary working knowledge in architectural, mechanical, electrical, Fire Detection, Physical Security, IT Networks, and audiovisual design.
Strong experience in managing the review and approval of documents and discipline-specific deliverables in a multi-project environment.
Experience in mentoring staff and supporting their growth and professional development.
Experience in developing project plans complete with major milestones, dependencies and owners of activities across owners, architects and consultants.
