Security Officer
Role Summary
Our client is looking for Security Guards to join their rapidly growing company. This position will patrol an assigned zone by foot or patrol vehicle, enforce client policy and regulations, and investigate all facility-related incidents.
They will ensure that their clients, associates, and facility personnel have a safe and professional working environment while adhering to the company’s quality standards.
This position reports to the Security Supervisor.
Key Results Areas
Patrols assigned post on foot or patrol vehicle to maintain visibility and observe possible unusual activity
Investigate security-related accidents / incidents, and interview witnesses, complaints, and victims. Responsible for gathering physical evidence and preserving it for future use;
complete reports and follow up with management as needed
Respond to all requests for assistance relayed by Supervisor or client. Complete various company or client assignments as required : submit reports to the superior officer
Investigate and report fires, evacuations, hazardous situations, or other facility-related events, provide backup to client personnel
Responsibilities include crowd control during traffic accidents, assisting victims, and investigating causes
Responsible for ensuring that all employees on company property have proper company issues identification
Ensure that daily administrative documentation is always kept concise and complete. Maintain all daily assigned equipment in functional and presentable condition
Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions that might endanger the client, its associates, or public safety
Ensure that the client, its associates, and the facility personnel are provided with the safe and professional work environment
Obligation for maintaining state and client-requested certifications. All documentation and fees are the responsibility of the employee unless otherwise noted
Site-specific training will need to be completed within the first thirty days unless otherwise stated based on the client or assignment of position
Skills & Requirements
Uniform attire and grooming standards must always be maintained while in uniform
At least one year of experience as a Security Officer
High School diploma (or GED) or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and experience
Current and valid Driver’s License required
Must maintain the required level of proficiency and certification of defensive tactics
Current state guard certification is necessary
Must be able to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally and twenty pounds frequently
Capable of walking, stooping, and regularly bending for up to 8-12 hours a day
