Entry Level Test Engineer

Position Summary
OPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full-time entry-level Test Engineer to work at our World Headquarters in Moorestown, NJ.
This position researches, develops, designs, and creates test environments for the proprietary electronics used in our high-speed mail extraction, document scanning, and warehouse automation equipment.
The candidate will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of test fixtures for board test / repair as well as supporting Electrical Assembly and system-level Production.

Qualifications
- A 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) including a thorough understanding of Analog and Digital circuitry.
- Experience creating, designing, and implementing circuit board test environments.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including writing Test Procedures and Test Plans.
- Experience in the creation and design of printed circuit boards is a plus.
- Experience with C programming for embedded designs is a plus.
- Experience with 3D modeling (i.e. Inventor, Creo, Solidworks) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create test fixtures, diagnostic software, and Test Procedures for all OPEX products.
- Work closely with Developmental Engineering during project handoff and effectively communicate issues uncovered via testing.
- Create and support test environments used by OPEX contract manufacturers.
- Create and support test environments used by OPEX Field Service.
- Work closely with OPEX board repair technicians to assist with troubleshooting difficult faults while helping to increase their overall knowledge.
- Support Electrical Assembly in the creation and maintenance of cable / harness tests.
- Assist Production with challenging system-level problems.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and critical thinking.
- Other responsibilities as required.
Physical / Work Environments
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally lift 25 pounds.
- Squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, reaching forward may occur while on the job.
