What does a great Paralegal do?
Works as an essential part of the legal team in a friendly and supportive environment. They would provide paralegal support to Travelport on a variety of legal areas arising across the North and South American region (and globally as and when required), primarily in company secretarial support, corporate entity management, drafting of board minutes, powers of attorneys, and intercompany agreements.
Responsibilities include :
- Maintaining statutory compliance for our US, Canada, and Latin American companies and branches.
- Attending to corporate secretarial tasks including but not limited to amending articles of association, company name changes, director / secretary / officer appointments / resignations, share transfers / allotments / pledges, incorporations, change of auditors, change of registered office address, change of names.
- Drafting board and shareholder minutes and other corporate documents (stock transfer forms, bank mandates and ultimate beneficia ownership filings).
- Provide clear and practical advice and support on how to manage legal issues and processes to management and staff through in-person meetings, video calls, emails and other forms of communication.
- Providing support on ad hoc company secretarial, commercial, corporate, litigation and regulatory assist in the management of statutory financial filings, liaising with treasury, tax, and finance while working with the local boards to facilitate the signing and filing of annual filings.
- Provide support on departmental administrative matters, including but not limited to the processing of invoices, budget, expenses, team computer programs, and formatting of documentation.
- Supporting Travelport’s company objectives, vision, and values. A minimum of 2 years relevant experience as a paralegal supporting commercial or corporate transactions with either a bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate or diploma.
Who we are looking for in this role :
- Experience supporting corporate secretarial needs in an in-house corporate environment.
- Notary public preferred.
- Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and ensure projects are progressed in a timely manner.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, flexible, and innovative. Strong sense of business and legal ethics.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously. We need someone with a collaborative mind set and get it done mentality.

Salary Target / Range : $65,000-$75,000
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
