Overview :
The Director, Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) directs, initiates, and implements projects, programs, and related to all AIM Technical Assistance (TA) Center activities.
Oversee activities to support best practices that make birth safer, improve maternal health outcomes and save lives including development of resources, direct TA provision, and events.
Interacts and collaborates with senior leaders, executives, and internal and external stakeholders. Maintain expertise in federal and non-federal grant and cooperative agreement writing, submission, execution, and management.

Responsibilities :
Direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the ACOG-AIM TA Specialists.
Oversee and manage staff activities, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, budgeting, and controlling quality of all project activities.
Oversee and manage the recruitment, training and supervision of new and existing staff. Including but not limited to assigning projects and tasks and ensuring adherence to organizational standards, procedures, and requirements.
Collaborate closely with Senior Manager, AIM Data on all data and operational aspects of AIM.
Support all AIM resource development, including but not limited to webinars, educational offerings, enduring content, and podcasts.
Specific managerial tasks include identification of leadership, design, implementation, and evaluation.
Seek input from the Senior Director, Quality Improvement and Programs on project activities and progress toward deliverables.
Identify, track, and monitor project-related issues, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise during implementation and execution and communicate these variances to ACOG leadership and funders.
Direct, manage and coordinate the work of consultants, vendors, staff, and others involved in the development and implementation of activities, materials, and events.
Create work plans, timelines, and content for funding proposals, including AIM strategies, outcomes and vision.
Collaborate with the Senior Director to prioritize Project activities and funding requests.
Oversee, review and monitor all data collection and analysis generated by the AIM team and identify appropriate outlets for discussion and distribution.
Ensure Project compliance with organizational and funder requirements, reporting, and standards.
Identify, foster, and maintain new and existing collaborative relationships with other ACOG departments and divisions, ACOG section and district leadership, expert advisors, training sites, and colleague organizations.
Identify, foster, and maintain new and existing collaborative relationships with external partners.
Oversee the development and distribution of AIM materials including reports, manuals, marketing materials, newsletters, and website.
Represent ACOG AIM Project at internal and external meetings, conferences, and panels when needed.
Delegate responses to member and public requests for technical assistance and other guidance.
Oversee planning of partner related meetings and development of agenda materials, and guide / facilitate the meeting.
Encourage staff ownership and initiative of Project activities by seeking staff input, supporting staff ideas, appropriately delegating responsibilities, and monitoring results.
Respond to congressional, media and funder inquiries on AIM activities.
Qualifications :
Bachelors Degree in a health-related field required. Masters degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience public health, quality improvement, or public health nursing experience preferred.
Must have a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
Must have budget management experience.
Proficiency in grant writing and funding proposals.
Broad understanding of issues regarding access to and quality of maternal health services.
Demonstrated skill in designing, implementing, and evaluating medical or public health projects and outreach activities, materials, and events.
Experience working with state health departments and / or perinatal quality collaboratives preferred.
Strong written and communication skills; experience in editing.
Knowledge of and experience with computer applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and website applications.
Ability to organize, prioritize and make independent judgments.
Ability to travel, less than 10%

Compensation
The base salary for this position is $100,000 - $115 ,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, ACOG offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes the perks outlined below.
