Description
Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (Mabbett), an award-winning and industry leading environmental, health and safety and architectural-engineering consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Proposal Specialist to support the growing marketing and business development (MBD) needs of the firm.
Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing and Federal Proposal Development, this position will primarily coordinate the development of winning federal proposals.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the proposal development process, including scheduling, editing, writing, and developing content and production of final proposal package to federal and state agencies (.
Standard Form 330 submittals) while working with principals, project and capture managers, and technical staff.
- Facilitate kickoff, brainstorm / strategy, and review meetings, in addition to outlining, writing, and editing proposals, project descriptions, and professional resumes.
- Assist with lead tracking and due diligence of federal procurement databases, such as .
- Prepare, write, and edit standardized professional project resumes, presentations, brochures, and award submissions.
- Utilize internal databases to maintain proposal / project tracking, historical data, and metrics, including win / loss information.
- Identify and attend industry conferences and maintain conference schedules.
- Prepare press releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or communications.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience coordinating the proposal development process from concept to completion, preferably with an architectural, engineering and consulting (A / E / C) professional service firm(s).
- Must have a sense of urgency and be able to manage multiple / competing priorities successfully and consistently.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively on multiple deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe InDesign.
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must thrive under pressure and adapt to changing deadlines / schedules while maintaining strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Must be able to work independently and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to be the leader of the proposal process and work closely with capture managers.
