RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER :
- Work with machine systems application teams to establish requirements, architecture, and electrical requirements for power electronics components / systems.
- Evaluate potential solutions and develop final component selections
- Support NTI & NPI programs : communication with NTI / NPI leads; prepare and present design and gateway reviews.
- Collaboration with overseas team for electrical design, verification & validation plans, functional evaluation.
- Play an active role in supplier evaluation, selection, and development some limited travel will be required.
- Execute and support electrical commissioning and testing on purchased components.
- Support APQP activities on purchased components in collaboration with suppliers.
- Document and resolve field issues.
- Procurement, inventory management, and shipment of components
- Identify and work with other Subject Matter Experts on aspects of the design in which team does not have expertise to complete on their own
- Stay up to date with the latest advances and market trends in e-powertrain DC converters and inverters
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER :
- Experience with electric drive systems and / or components
- Excellent analytical skills; experience with circuit and system simulation and analysis tools
- Experience with quality tools including FMEA, APQP & PPAP
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) Issue resolution process
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER :
- Bachelor degree (or equivalent)
- Power Electronics design and development experience
- Excellent understanding of electrical systems
