Virginia Wesleyan University, a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, is accepting applications for a Director of Men’s and Women’s Swimming.
Virginia Wesleyan is located in Virginia Beach, VA and sponsors 23 varsity sports teams, supporting over 450 student-athletes.
The director will oversee all aspects of the men’s and women’s swimming programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
recruitment of quality student-athletes, scheduling, managing and coaching meets, planning and conducting practices, organizing team travel, monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress, equipment maintenance and purchases, budget management, fundraising and administrative duties required to maintain competitive swimming programs.
Review of applications will begin immediately. This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits.
Qualifications include; minimum of a bachelor’s degree with master’s degree preferred. Collegiate coaching experience preferred.
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the university’s auto insurance carrier.
