The Department of Pathology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Surgical Pathologist / Clinical Assistant Professor (HS).
In addition to directing the autopsy service, responsibilities include :
- Surgical pathology sign-out, frozen section, mentoring and teaching of medical students and pathology residents and participation in other areas of the laboratories.
- The position includes leadership of the pathology
education for second year medical students.
Participation in research with presentation of work at national meetings and publication in peer reviewed journals is expected.
Required Qualifications :
- MD or DO Degree.
- Board Certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
- Eligibility for New York State Medical Licensure.
Preferred Qualifications :
Fellowship training in oncologic surgical pathology, forensic pathology, transplant, renal or gastrointestinal pathology.
