Sr. Systems Engineer

Job Title : Senior System Engineer (Azure / Intune) Location : Suffolk, VA (Hybrid Role) Clearance Required : Minimum Secret Clearance Job Type : Full-Time Job Description : We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer with extensive experience in Microsoft Azure and familiarity with Microsoft Intune to join our dynamic team in Suffolk, VA.

This is a hybrid role, requiring both on-site presence and remote work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities : Azure Infrastructure Management : Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure to support enterprise-level applications and services.

Implement best practices for Azure security, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Monitor and optimize Azure resources to ensure high availability and performance.

Microsoft Intune Administration : Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for device and application management. Develop and enforce policies for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Intune and end-user devices. System Engineering : Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT systems and networks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate new technologies. Provide advanced technical support and resolve escalated issues.

Security & Compliance : Ensure systems and applications adhere to government security standards and policies. Perform regular security assessments and implement necessary updates and patches.

Assist with audits and compliance reporting as required. Documentation & Training : Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and IT staff. Create and update knowledge base articles for common issues and solutions.

Qualifications : Required : Active Secret clearance. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

5+ years of experience in system engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. Experience with Microsoft Intune for device and application management.

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation is a big plus. In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security best practices, and virtualization technologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred : Azure certifications (e.

g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator). Experience with other Microsoft 365 services and tools. Familiarity with government and DoD IT environments.
