Position Overview :

Control Air Enterprises LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Sheet Metal Estimator to join our Northern Division office in Hayward, California.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in sheet metal estimation within the HVAC industry and will work in a professional and collaborative office environment.

Responsibilities :

• Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for sheet metal work, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Obtain and review supplier and subcontractor quotes for sheet metal components and services.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
• Utilize computerized estimating systems and software to compile and present estimates.
• Monitor and analyze project costs to ensure they align with budgeted amounts.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary to gather essential project information.
• Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers, including suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
• Stay current with industry trends, material costs, and new technologies related to sheet metal fabrication and installation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required :

• Proven experience as a sheet metal estimator within the HVAC industry.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and installation processes.
• Proficiency in computerized estimating systems and relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Quickpen / Accubid).
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Pay Range : $70,000 to $120,000 Salary
