Calling all Material Handlers / Forklift Operators
Our client in Suffolk, a global leader in sustainable books, games, and packaging solutions is looking for FT Material Handlers / Forklift Operators to join their team.
Job Details 2nd Shift Material Handler / Forklift Operator :
Schedule : 2nd Shift M-F 2pm -10pm
Pay Rate : $18 - $20hr Depending on Experience
Job Description 2nd Shift Material Handler / Forklift Operator :
Unload and examine incoming shipments from containers to confirm receipt and condition of goods.
Load containers and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and condition of outgoing shipments
Properly store materials in the correct location and maintain the inventory in the warehouse
Identify damaged items, shortages, and non-scannable pallets,
Moves pallets of material between storage and production for processing
Participates in the inventory process including scanning pallets, identifying location, and determining age of board for FIFO.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements for 2nd Shift Material Handler / Forklift Operator :
Must have at least 3 years of forklift experience
Must have experience loading and unloading a container from bay doors
Prior Warehouse / Material Handling experience required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to drive a forklift, pallet jack, and / or hand truck
Computer literacy and aptitude to operate scanners and other software
