Shift : This position is full-time, Monday-Friday.
Position Reports to : Program Manager
Job Status : Non-Exempt / Hourly
Compensation : 17.477 - 25.664 per hour (based on experience, credentials, and education)
Job Duties :
- Manage a caseload and provide treatment services to adolescents, adults, and families.
- Conduct intakes and assessments and make appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Conduct individual sessions to provide substance abuse treatment, education, support, and advocacy.
- Facilitate group therapy.
- Maintain ongoing contact with the clients’ family members and / or significant others when appropriate.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
- Participate, collaboratively, as a member of the program’s multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and collaterals.
- Maintain documentation as per OASAS standards within allotted time frame.
- Maintain client confidentiality as per 42 C.F.R. Part 2 (Substance Abuse Records) and 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 &164 (HIPAA).
- Be familiar with and adhere to current agency policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the CASAC Canon of Ethical Principles (see attached).

Requirements
- QHP or CASAC-T preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in substance abuse counseling and experience with multiple age groups and various treatment modalities required.
