Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated full-time physician to provide comprehensive medical care for residents at a State Veterans Nursing Home in Tradition, Mississippi.
This will be for a contract period of two years, starting on or around December 1, 2024 through on or around November 30, 2026, with the possibility of renewal for one successive one-year period.

Key Responsibilities :
Provide overall comprehensive medical care for nursing home residents
Conduct daily visits (Monday - Friday) to examine and consult with patients
Oversee and coordinate care with nursing staff and other healthcare providers
Ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and Mississippi State Department of Health standards
Participate in care planning and quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners / Physician Assistants as needed
Requirements
Requirements :
MD or DO degree with current Mississippi medical license
Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in geriatric or long-term care settings
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
