Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.

This segment is classified into two main product groupings carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.

The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Purpose of Position :

Maximize the sales of Corning Optical Communications products through Wesco Data Center Solutions globally. Develop and manage the implementation of strategies and marketing initiatives targeting Hyperscale Data Centers to drive growth, shelf-space and share.

Will require close coordination and engagement with important stakeholders across the Corning Optical Communications organization.

Requirements :

  • Proven expertise working within channel and / or datacenter sales
  • Strategic thinker, able to construct and execute on a distributor plan
  • Strong technical acumen with an excellent comprehension of the enterprise datacenter market (this comprehension will include customers and markets as well as competitors, indirect channels, and influencers in the market)
  • Strong negotiations and proven success in conflict resolution
  • Dedication to meeting the demands of a global market, including a willingness to work non-traditional hours to accommodate clients and stakeholders across different time zones
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Desired :

  • Bachelor’s level college degree
  • MBA or equivalent
  • Channel management expertise

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement an annual account plan and strategy for Wesco Data Center Solutions to include : Joint growth objectives Key product / solution focus Stocking plans National / regional tradeshow support Field engagement / support needs
  • Conduct Quarterly Budget Reviews with channel partners, review progress and modify when necessary
  • Meet sales budget for all products associated with Wesco Data Center Solutions
  • In conjunction Commercial Marketing and Product Line Management, provide competitive intelligence concerning the distribution policy, product pricing strategy and promotion initiatives
  • Develop personal relationships with key customers and provide account support and maintenance as necessary

Position is remotely based within the United States

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The range for this position is $89,336.00 - $122,837.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.

The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
