Summary
Puyallup Playcare Center is searching for an enthusiastic, reliable Assistant Teacher to join our team! The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm.
We are looking for an individual who possesses a positive attitude and enjoys working with young children to provide enriching care and education.
Duties
Follow licensing requirements of the Department of Children, Youth and Families
Supervise and maintain ratios in the classroom
Engage children in activities, and ensure a positive classroom
environment
Assist with classroom daily routines and care while maintaining
a positive learning environment
Document children's development on Teaching Strategies Gold.
Training is provided
Serve snacks and meals following requirements of the Child Adult
Care Food Program
Perform light cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping,
taking out trash, etc
Requirements
18 years or older.
Willingness to complete required online courses for childcare
professionals. Employer will cover the cost of these classes and trainings
Positive attitude
Punctual and reliable in performing duties
Vaccinated for COVID-19. Must have first two shots
TB test within the last year from the date of hire. Center will
cover cost if needed
Documentation from medical provider of measles vaccination or
that you have had the disease

Twelve days of sick pay accrued each year
Vacation is accrued at the rate of 5 days per year in years one
and two; two weeks per year in years three and four; and three weeks per year
in years five and beyond
