A large multi-divisional specialty contractor is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Kitchen Suppression System Technician ( Technician ).

The Technician will be responsible for inspecting, installing and servicing kitchen fire suppression systems (hoods) from various manufactures.

The Technician will be responsible for performing on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs and maintain complete and detailed inspection and repair documentation on all work performed.

A desired candidate is reliable, thorough, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

Requirements :

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Read and understand assigned project documentation and work orders including scope of work for inspections and determine if additional information is needed
• Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with internal and external customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction experience
• Troubleshoot several different fire suppressions systems
• Follow troubleshooting guidelines and refer to technical / parts manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc.

in order to diagnose and repair equipment or systems

• Partner with sales to grow and protect the service segment of our business
• Maintain accurate truck inventory to ensure timely response to customers’ needs
• Review and explain all work performed to customers
• Stay current with code requirements and industry changes
• Attend and complete all required safety training
• Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications :

• Ability to travel to multiple job sites each day
• Knowledge of NFPA code and non-conformance issues
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders multiples times a day
• Decent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, with little supervision
• Knowledge of fire systems and tools
• Organized, systematic and adherent to deadlines

Job Requirements :

• Valid Driver’s License
• High School diploma / GED
• Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, nights, and weekend to meet customer needs
• Able to carry and move tools and equipment up to 50-70 lbs
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

Preferences :

• Two (2) years prior work experience
• Knowledge working in ProfitZoom, Building Reports, and Paylocity
• CSA Certification
• OSHA Certification
