We have an exciting remote opportunity for a Senior Contracts Manager to join our team!
What You Will Do :
- Draft, negotiate, interpret, and manage complex contracts for the Military Engines Organization from proposal development through contract closeout.
- Proactively manage contracts by issue-spotting, documenting changes and negotiating contract modifications resulting from identified changes.
- Provide terms and conditions review.
- Offer advice and support on complex and / or challenging contractual matters to mitigate contractual and programmatic risk.
- Professionally represent P&W in contractual transactions while working closely with ME customers to develop business relationships.
- Support MECMO in developing strategies to improve current processes, policies, and standards for ME contract management.
Qualifications You Must Have :
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in government contracting; OR an Advanced degree and 7+ years of experience in government contracting.
- US Citizenship is required, due to government contracts, programs and projects.
Qualifications We Prefer :
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Excel.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) strongly preferred.
- Experience in U.S. Government contracting, including working knowledge of FAR and DFARS and various types of government contracting vehicles.
- Experience with Microsoft Word (including track changes, comment and other editing features) and Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Comfortable leading, motivating and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
