Summary :
The Parts Room Inventory Clerk is responsible for managing the inventory of Maintenance Department parts and supplies, ensuring accurate inventory records, and supporting maintenance operations.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory management software.
Reports to the maintenance coordinator, leads and maintenance manager in that order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory records, including parts received, issued, and stock levels.
Ordering and Receiving
Order parts and supplies as needed, receive incoming shipments, and verify accuracy.
Stock Organization
Organize and label parts in the parts room for easy access and retrieval.
Computer Skills
Utilize inventory management software to track parts and generate reports.
Support Maintenance Team
Assist maintenance personnel in locating and acquiring necessary parts for repairs. Also perform maintenance duties and support the EHS manager and Production as needed.
Audits and Inspections
Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. Also to perform plant wide checks to keep the team ready for independent required audits.
Safety and Cleanliness
Maintain a clean and safe parts room environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Minimum Experience / Education Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year or more of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with inventory management and / or maintenance software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.

Physical Demands
Standing : Frequently during assigned shift, in combination with walking. Could be 8 to 11 hours a day.
Sitting : Occasionally to perform administrative task
Walking : Occasionally during assigned shifts. Walking in and around the department, to and from department, indoors and outdoors.
Walking in the maintenance area.
Lift / Carry : Occasionally weights of up to 30 lbs. Some projects require lifting that might exceed 50 lbs when using both arms.

Push / Pull : Occasionally during assigned shift. Self-paced activity, with attention to body mechanics
Bending : Occasionally during assigned shift. Self-paced activity, minimize bending with attention to body mechanics.
