Responsibilities : * Database Administration of servers including Linux and Solaris.* Database architecture design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and urgent troubleshooting efforts.

• Perform administrative and maintenance tasks on our Oracle and PostGRES databases.* Perform planning, coordination, and execution of database installations and upgrades and patches.
• Respond to all database related work requests, including working with system maintainers, system engineering analysis, and integration efforts.
• Maintain and update design and database schema documentation. Work Environment : Onsite only, this role typically is Monday thru Friday 40 hours a week.

The work environment fluctuates between routine and urgent, depending on ongoing tasks, priorities, and performance of assigned systems.

The position requires the ability to Stand or Sit for long periods of time within a secure location.Required Skills or Experience : * Bachelor of Science Degree and minimum of 8 years experience (- OR - 16 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.)

• Must have a current DODI 8570.01-M IAT Level II (minimum) Certification or must obtain the certification within the first 60 days of employment.
• Solaris and Linux operating systems.
• Oracle and PostGRES Database Administration
• Oracle versions 12c and higher
• Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and DataGuard
• RMAN for database backup and recovery
• SQL, PLSQL, OPatch, database and query tuning
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing prioritiesDesired Skills :
• Scripting (sh, csh, bash, Python, perl)
• SUN cluster environment
• Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) compliance Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information.
