Are you ready to take charge of billing operations in a dynamic dermatology practice? We're looking for a skilled and passionate Dermatology Biller & Coder to lead the charge and ensure smooth sailing in our billing department.

As our Dermatology Biller & Coder, you'll be the captain of cash flow, navigating pre-auths, claims filing, and patient collections with finesse.

You'll collaborate closely with our front desk heroes to ensure accuracy in collections and maintain stellar patient relations.

But that's not all! You'll also wear the hat of Compliance Officer, keeping our practice shipshape and steering clear of billing-related snags.

With your strong leadership and communication skills, you'll keep our team on course and our management team in the loop on all billing matters.

THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION . The candidate for this position will work from our office in zip code 30345 . Must be a professional self-starter, possess leadership skills, communication and customer service skills, great listener, and multi-tasking abilities.

Requirements to Board Our Ship :

3+ years of experience in Dermatology medical billing and coding

Certified Professional Coder in Dermatology (major plus!)

Knowledge of Mod Med (another major plus!)

A passion for teamwork, attention to detail, and a knack for navigating billing seas

Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver great Customer Service and Administrative Support.

Serves as the subject matter expert for the area of the revenue billing cycle that you are assigned to.

Assist with the billing team, including; claims submissions, payments postings, accounts receivable follow-up and reimbursement.

Assist with billing and claims for accuracy, completeness, timely submission and compliance with Federal, State, and payer regulations, guidelines and requirements.

Provide customer service on the telephone and in the office for all clients and authorized representatives regarding patient accounts in accordance with practice protocol.

Patient calls regarding accounts receivable should be returned within 1 business day to ensure maximum patient satisfaction.

Provide information pertaining to billing, coding, managed care networks, insurance carriers and reimbursement to physicians, billing manager, office manager, and subordinates.

Assist with reimbursement from managed care networks and insurance carriers to ensure reimbursement consistent with contract rates.

Proficiency with all facets of the EMR software system including patient registration, charge entry, insurance processing, advanced collections, reports and ledger inquiry.

Assist with cross coverage for team members in their absence as required to ensure efficient and professional practice operation.

Maintain information regarding coding, insurance carriers, managed care networks and credentialing in an organized easy to reference format.

Assist Billing Manager with all office team members who have anything to do with the revenue billing cycle when assigned.

Maintain an organized, efficient and professional work environment.

Adhere to all practice policies related to HIPAA and Medicare Compliance
