Disability Claims Assistant

TempExperts is seeking a dedicated and experienced Disability Claims Assistant to join a nationally established firm in St.
Petersburg, FL . This is a Direct Hire position with excellent benefits.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Veteran disability claims, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and possess a keen eye for detail to ensure all required documents are sourced and processed accurately.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Efficiently handle medical record requests and follow-ups.
- Utilize case management software to provide thorough documentation on each file and manage calendar appointments.
- Upload and download documents across various technology platforms.
- Compile and organize medical records for pertinent evidence and communicate findings with the VA team.
- Maintain regular communication with clients regarding the status of their cases.
- Review documents and calendar action items meticulously.
- Coordinate appointments for clients by communicating with vendors.
- Perform scanning, data entry, drafting, proofreading, and finalizing letters.
- Bookmark files using Adobe Acrobat.
- Take on additional job responsibilities as assigned by the attorneys responsible for the cases. Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or training in legal support.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer skills, with experience in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat.
- High degree of professionalism and sound judgment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks.
- Flexibility with job responsibilities.
