Major Food Group is hiring line cooks for ZZ's Sushi Bar in the Design District!
ZZ’s Club is a restaurant and private membership club from Major Food Group located in the heart of the Miami Design District.
With interiors designed by the renowned Ken Fulk and hospitality tailored to each of our Members, the property should feel like a second home.
The first floor houses a traditional sushi omakase counter, as well as a modern Japanese restaurant offering a range of à la carte servings.
On the second floor, the collection of amenities includes a cigar terrace, backgammon balcony, and an intimate bar and lounge.
We are looking for experienced Back of House professionals with a strong work ethic to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
REQUIREMENTS :
- Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required
- Culinary diploma or equivalent in experience strongly preferred
- Team-orientated and positive attitude
- Strong communication skills a must
