The work will be challenging, but always rewarding. It’s Work That Matters. Overview Position Summary : The Manager of Clinical Services on 4 East Hematology-Oncology Unit;

assumes primary responsibility and oversight for all aspects of the work area, including establishing and maintaining the CHLA culture of care as well as operational, clinical and educational functions.

Engages in strategic planning and establishes programs that facilitate the development of staff and the delegation of portions of this responsibility to subordinates.

Analyzes and utilizes outcomes data to drive performance improvement and quality improvement efforts in accordance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Fosters a team approach to shared responsibilities, while functioning independently as needed in all aspects of the work area.

Empowers other work area staff to achieve the goals and objectives of the work area. Supports the development of skills of the staff to continuously provide best-practice care.

Ensures that all policies / procedures are age and / or developmentally appropriate. 4 East is a 32-bed unit that treats CBDI patient disease populations and provides safe quality care for new diagnoses and acute illnesses.

Provides chemotherapy, immunotherapy and cellular therapies as well as post HSCT. The department consists of approximately 100 compassionate staff RNs and Care Partners who provide the best care.

Minimum Qualifications : 3-5 years of experience in Pediatric Oncology. Previous supervisory and fiscal management experience preferred.

Expert clinical knowledge of unit's patient population. Ability to lead others. Good organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing.

Proven excellent record of maintaining safe Patient : Nurse ratios while maintaining and improving staff satisfaction both psychologically and physically.

Education / Licensure / Certifications : Master’s degree required. 15+ years of nursing leadership experience may substitute for a Master’s degree.

Current California RN license and AHA CPR and PALS certification and National Certification required. Pay Scale Information $143,936.

00-$260,333.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
