The role will provide dedicated commercial financial planning & analysis support to the Gamete business stream of the Fertility Solutions division.

This is a hands-on role, partnering with senior individuals, requiring good commercial understanding and business acumen.

The role requires a global mind-set to support the organization’s global strategy.

  • Leading the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the Gamete business
  • Daily sales reporting & weekly sales projections
  • Analysis of both revenue, opex, & margin
  • Developing new tools and techniques to support forecasting, reporting, and analysis
  • Developing business plans and decision models to support commercial proposals
  • Critically reviewing contracts, pricing, and other commercial proposals
  • Implementing & developing a process for monitoring product profitability
  • Ensuring robust oversight of revenue deferrals and accruals
  • Leading the month end analysis for Gamete, investigating and explaining any deviations from plan
  • Developing reports and explaining deviations on a monthly and quarterly basis to senior management
  • Ensuring that budget / spend proposals are robustly examined with a strong focus on opex efficiency
  • Working with the Controlling team to ensure that Group accounting policies are adhered to.
  • Reviewing, tracking, and coordinating requests for Capital investment in Gamete & ensuring (with Controlling) that additions and disposals are processed in accordance with Group policy.
  • Supporting other FP&A projects and initiatives as required to management decision-making
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of commercially focused Internal controls
  • Provide support to assist and develop the reporting processes for the wider FP&A team, supporting other FP&A projects as and when required
  • Some travel will form a necessary part of this role 5% of time
  • An excellent relationship builder who is able to work closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to ensure Finance is a Trusted Business Partner .
  • A strategic mindset, with the confidence to challenge the norm and ability to influence others and drive change.
  • Direct, hands-on experience in creating, tracking and controlling actual, forecasts and budget metrics, and with an active curiosity to identify opportunities for the business.
  • Clear and confident communicator able to convey complex information succinctly.
  • Superb spreadsheet and modelling skills.
  • A commercial and entrepreneurial mindset to allow opportunities and risks to be successfully identified, realized and / or mitigated.
  • Proven ability to analyze and understand key business drivers as well as providing clear and succinct recommendations to management.
  • Analytically minded, to drive consistent unbiased analysis of business proposals to support both the timely and accurate decision making.
  • Adaptable, being able to change in response to new information and different or unexpected circumstances.
  • Solid finance foundation and the ability to work in a multi-cultural, diverse environment.
  • Hybrid office / home working with an expectation of being in the office a maximum of 50% of the time
  • Due to the international nature of the business, must be prepared to work flexible hours
  • Will have hands-on experience in an FP&A role within a commercial / operational organization
  • Experience gained in a Global / US matrix managed businesses is beneficial
  • Recognized Accountancy Qualification Qualified (. CPA, CGMA, ACCA)
  • Educated to degree level
