GENERAL SUMMARY :

This position is responsible for internal auditing and financial reporting. This includes operating plan reporting, inventory liaison, correspondence and commission work.

Other job duties include but are not limited to, the items listed below. The position requires initiative, problem-solving skills, judgment, attention to detail, the ability to meet critical deadlines and knowledge of accounting principles.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Internal Audit Manage the corporate internal and external audits, including annual year end audit. Monitor and assign audits to staff and report to the Accounting Manager and Management.
• IATF (International Automotive Task Force) Audit Manage IATF pre-audit and support auditees. Reporting / responding to Japan parent company and auditor as required.
• Operating Plan Manage the creation of the plan. Support in the creation of the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow and other forms to be submitted to the parent company.
• Financial Reporting Functions Creation and analysis of the Financial Package Reporting and other monthly reporting; including but not limited to Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuation analysis and additional reporting as required by Management.
• Monthly Forecast File Creation Downloads sales forecast data and complies monthly forecast files.
• Cash Flow Review monthly cash flow and create monthly cashflow report.
• Banking Monthly bank account reconciliation and monitoring of cash balances.
• Sales Representative Commissions Calculates sales representative commissions; including but not limited to working with the Distribution Sales Marketing Analyst and the IT group to ensure that the calculations are accurate, the reps are paid timely, and the information is consistent with contractual obligations.

Sends the commission reports to the reps.

• Sales Company Commissions Calculates commissions paid via Japan parent company. Sends reports to Japan parent company upon Senior Director’s approval.
• NPI (New Product Introduction) Reservation Support quarterly calculation of Distribution Sales NPI reservation.
• Inventory Analysis Functions Prepare monthly inventory reports with key notes, including Sales / COGS report and Purchasing Reconciliations, including but not limited to working with the Supply Chain team.

Prepare annual property tax reporting(s) for warehouses. Support the annual and semi-annual 3PL physical inventory reconciliation and roll forward.

• Monthly Journal Entries Prepare inventory related journal entries for the VMI / CMI revenue accrual and MIT.
• Concur Expense Reporting Responsible for review, administration, uploading of all expenses posted in Concur to ERP and notifies management if expense reports are more than 30 days past due.

Responsible for Concur training follow-up meeting for new employees. Creates bi-weekly employee reimbursement files for payroll.

• Suggests improvements in processes to increase effectiveness of unit.
• Performs other duties, analysis and projects assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

• Knowledge of accounting and finance practices.
• Knowledge of and skill in using computer software, including MS Word, Excel, SAP, and large accounting software packages.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to work with regular supervision.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

BA Degree in accounting, Finance or equivalent.
