Position Information
This position is an 8 hour / day position assigned to the Office of Technology with an anticipated starting date of as soon as possible.
Starting hourly pay is $28.74.
Nature of Work
Incumbents are responsible for providing first level user support to students and staff. Responsibilities may include : responding to first level user support requests;
escalating issues as necessary; generating reports and maintaining information; and tracking District assets.
Typical Class Responsibilities :
Provides level one help desk telephone, email, and / or remote access support; troubleshoots user issues with information technology, hardware, software, and / or other related items;
and escalates issues as necessary.
- Monitors user requests for assistance; assigns requests to the appropriate personnel; and tracks requests through completion.
- Generates reports; organizes and maintains files and records; and assists in the creation and updating of department documentation and end user tutorials.
- Processes requests for computer supplies and equipment; and orders and tracks incoming supplies and equipment.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Training and Experience Requirements
- Associate degree (A.S., A.A.)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements
Positions in this class typically require : reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work : Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally .
