IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for Senior BI Data Engineer, to design, build, deployment and support of decision support data marts and its associated data integration capabilities.

This role works a hybrid schedule out of an IAT office in Raleigh, NC, Kansas City, MO, or Cheshire, CT to support IAT's ability to make data-driven decisions.

Occasional travel is required. This role will be required to work from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working Thursday and Friday remotely.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience with implementation of decision support data marts, preferably for the P&C insurance industry using Microsoft Technologies.

This role will collaborate closely with the Business Intelligence Information Delivery & Analytics team to build out user interface assets that meet the decision-making needs of the business and functional support areas across IAT.

Responsibilities :

  • Develops a deep understanding of current state data environment and the transition path to future state strategic architecture.
  • Responsible for development, testing and deployment of decision support data marts using Python and / or SQL code.
  • Create and maintain data loads via a strong knowledge of ETL and SQL stored procedures. Ability to step through ETL code to solve for data related issues.
  • Partners closely with IT Data Management, Information Delivery, Modeling SMEs to govern and ensure overall accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
  • Serves as an escalation point for problem-solving and issue resolution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelors' degree with 5 or more years of progressive experience in planning and executing data integration projects on SQL Server / Microsoft Fabric architecture.
  • Responsible for development, testing and deployment of data marts in a cloud-based architecture using SQL / Python code.
  • Core understanding of business intelligence / data warehousing technologies, methodologies, and techniques with proven experience delivering data driven BI solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, capable of presenting complex issues in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner to the business and technical professionals.
  • Demonstrated initiative, self-starter, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.

Prefer to have :

Relevant P&C insurance industry experience using Microsoft Technologies.

Compensation : Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographical location related to this specific role.

The typical annual gross salary range associated with this posting is $90,000 to $142,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for this position.

Total compensation includes a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more.
