A Successful FASTSIGNS Fabrication Specialist Will Understand :
- Understanding measurements and manufacturing processes.
- Working with rigid materials to create custom signage.
- Cutting, Routing, Paint Prep, Sanding, Metal Work, Welding, Paint Mixing.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as C.N.C Router, Grinders, Welders, Shear, etc.
- Follow a layout to place dimensional or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium.
- Prepare substrates for vinyl application to include sanding, cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, etc.
- Fabrication of metal and other rigid substrates to complete sign builds (Aluminum, Steel).
- Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.
- Maintaining a safe work environment when working with tools, drills, and cutters.
- Perform finishing operations such as pre-package after paint has cured and prepare for installation.
- Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager / production manager or franchisee.
- Clean and maintain storage areas.
Ideal Qualifications for FASTSIGNS Fabrication Specialist :
- 1-2 years of experience in sign fabrication preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (6 hours or more).
- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
- Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
- Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.
- Ability to use light power equipment.
