Key Responsibilities :

• General Ledger Maintenance : Manage, reconcile, and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Tax Filings & Compliance : Oversee sales & use tax filings (MD, VA, DC), property taxes, and other local filings.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheets, P&L, cash flow statements) and assist with budgeting and variance reports.
• Fixed Assets : Maintain fixed asset accounts and depreciation schedules using Sage Fixed Assets software.
• Collaboration : Work closely with accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure accurate financial data.

Who We're Looking For :

• 3-4 years of accounting experience (construction, real estate, or waste management preferred).
• Experience with GAAP principles, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Proficiency in Timberline / Sage CRE300 software is a plus.
• Ability to pass a drug test (including marijuana) and maintain good credit.
