Job Summary :
The Senior Transportation Sales Manager at FreezPak Logistics is responsible for driving revenue growth through transportation service sales and fostering long-term partnerships with new and existing clients.
This role will focus on developing and implementing strategies to expand FreezPak’s transportation services, optimize customer satisfaction, and lead a high-performance sales team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of logistics, cold storage, and transportation solutions, with a proven track record of success in sales and business development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sales Strategy Development : Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets for transportation services.
- Business Development : Identify, target, and develop new transportation business opportunities through networking, client outreach, and relationship building.
- Client Relationship Management : Cultivate and manage relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term satisfaction and identifying opportunities for expansion.
- Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a sales team, setting clear goals, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
- Contract Negotiation : Oversee the negotiation of contracts with clients, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with company goals.
- Market Research : Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to adjust sales strategies as needed.
- Collaboration : Work closely with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of transportation services.
- Sales Reporting : Monitor sales performance, create reports on key metrics, and provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Customer Service Excellence : Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through effective communication, problem-solving, and service quality improvements.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on transportation or logistics services.
- Proven experience in cold chain logistics, transportation sales, or freight forwarding.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing sales teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to create and present data-driven sales strategies.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in the cold storage industry.
