Job Description
This is a benefited, part time position (40 hours every 2 weeks) with variable days and start times depending on department needs, but working generally from 8am-5pm.
Every other weekend (both Saturdays and Sundays) and holiday rotations required. Located in Carlsbad but flexibility to float to neighboring Scripps HealthExpress locations required.

Position Description :
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Perform patient care services that support the providers and clinic
- Front Office responsibilities such as registration, scheduling, patient check-ins, collecting co-pays and check-outs
- Clinical support by checking patient vitals, rooming patients, stocking exam rooms, point of care duties, immunizations, covid swabbing, and providing patient education
- Wide variety of acute care patients
- Patient volumes of 25 and up per day (sometimes as high as 50)
Position Pay Range : $23.92-$30.83 / hour

Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.

Required Qualifications :
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
- BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications :
- 1 year MA experience in an outpatient setting
- Pediatric experience
