Full Stack Web Developer Tier 2

The Full Stack Web Developer Tier 2 is responsible for building new and improving existing web applications in our open source technology environment.
This role will create and / or revise applications based off of prioritized business outcomes as well as provide application technical support.
This position is remote work eligible.
Responsibilities : Develop and enhance web applications in an open source technology environment, aligning with prioritized business outcomes.
Create and revise applications based on requirements, ensuring adherence to design and architectural principles.Provide technical support for applications, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions.
Utilize JavaScript / TypeScript, ReactJS, Node.js, ExpressJS, and REST APIs to build efficient and scalable web applications.
Work with standard development tools such as Git and Jira for version control, issue tracking, and project management.Implement queuing and caching mechanisms using RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, and Redis for efficient data processing and storage.
Apply SQL and database design skills, particularly with MySQL / MariaDB, to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.Understand and apply service / worker design patterns to build robust and scalable applications.
Familiarity with product architecture to ensure development aligns with overall system design.Collaborate with the team to work within an existing codebase, maintaining the current design structure and ensuring code quality.
Follow Scrum principles, understanding the impact of each sprint on the overall project / product.Approach problem-solving with agile principles, adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
Support the team and business in creating small, releasable sprints, delivering value incrementally.Champion inspection to assess the project / product direction and identify areas for improvement.
Actively engage in the Scrum process, identifying and resolving impediments to help the team achieve their goals.Participate in company, department, and process changes, actively contributing to their execution and success.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).5 years of experience.
Strong technical proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript, ReactJS, Node.js, ExpressJS, and REST APIs.Experience with standard development tools such as Git for version control and Jira for issue tracking.
Knowledge and practical experience with queuing / caching technologies like RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, and Redis.Proficiency in SQL and database design, particularly with MySQL / MariaDB.

Full-time Salaried Exempt, not eligible for overtime.Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, Central Time zone, additional hours may be required depending on priorities.
This position is remote work eligible within the United States.
Please note :
the first week of employment training is required to be in the Manhattan, KS headquarters.Expected to travel up to 10% of the time.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Candidates may be requested to complete skills assessment testing.

The salary varies based on experience and qualifications, but typically ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year. Salary paid bi-weekly.
Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company's monthly revenue result and are paid on a "percent to plan" payout formula.
90% $300, 100% $600, 110% $900, 120% $1,200).Monthly phone stipend in accordance with the Company's cell phone policy, currently $120 / month.
Health, Dental, and Vision starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment.
Company-paid Life Insurance benefit of $25,000 with options to add more through employee contribution starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
Personal Time Off (PTO) annual amount of 120 hours which is prorated based on the number of days between the 60th day of employment and the end of the calendar year.
