Enters information into databases and / or software programsby inputting alphabetic and numeric information on a keyboard oroptical scanner uploading data from outside sources and / ortranscribing audio and video content.
Readssource documents such as canceled checks sales reports or bills andenters data in specific data fields using keyboards orscanners.
Compiles sorts and verifies accuracyof demographic financial and / or customer data before it isentered.
Compares data with source documents andutilizes documentation verification formats to detect and correctrecording and data entry errors and reports them to supervisors asneeded.
Maintains operational records and logsof activities and work completed.
Adheres toorganizational processes to maintain data accuracy integrity andconfidentiality.
Establishes entry priorities byfollowing organizational processes or conferring with teamleadership.
Verifies customer and account databy reviewing correcting deleting recovering or reenteringdata.
Purges files to eliminate duplication ofdata.
Secures information by completing databasebackups.
Maintains customer confidence andprotects operations by keeping information confidential.
Looks for ways to improve data collection processesincluding the design of forms and templates for dataentry.
Operates office equipment as needed toassist in data entry operations.
Contributes tothe team effort by accomplishing related results asneeded.
Requirements :
Previous data entry or clerical experience or experienceworking in an office setting required
Basiccomputer skills.
Experience working withdataentry software or cloud storage is aplus.
