The student nurse is a candidate brought into this program after successfully completing one semester of nursing school.
A Student Nurse works under the supervision and / or direction of the Director, Clinical Manager or Professional RN, performs various duties that does not require licensure.
He / She will assist Professional RN’s in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of ShorePoint Health Punta Gorda.
Requirements :
- Currently in the 2nd semester of an accredited RN Nursing School (1st semester for Jersey College students)
- Will be considered a student nurse until the candidate has received a Authorization to Test (ATT) and a letter from the Board to practice as a graduate nurse.
The Student Nurse may be asked to float where needed based upon staffing needs.
