MAJOR FUNCTION
The Warehouse Material Handler will handle all materials, and parts within the Warehouse.
This may include, loading and stacking procedures; and order fulfillment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Accurately pick and pack the correct order
- Verifies item number, quantity, weight, and pack dates.
- Is responsible for partnering with others.
- Order picking and palletizing
- Following the printed pick sheet for the location of items.
- Picking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize an RD Scan gun, when needed.
- Review daily shipment schedule and, in discussion with other warehouse team members, plan accordingly.
- Process system transactions and procedures.
- Receives, stores, and distributes products.
- Ability to read and pick tickets and match numbers.
- General warehouse help
- Assistance with shipping and receiving, when needed.
- Keeping bins, racks, and inventory organized.
- Any and all duties / as assigned that would lead to the successful operation of department, team and / or business needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma for general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES :
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- May pick parts from heightened areas.
- Must be able to stand for long periods at a time.
- Must be able to read write and speak English effectively.
- Must be able to work unexpected overtime, as well as scheduled overtime.
- Must be able to work from a 5 a.m. start time.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
- Prior forklift driving experience preferred, if no experience must be willing to learn.
COMPUTER SKILLS :
Ability to use the computer when necessary to look up locations, part quantities on hand, etc.
Experience in Great Plains a plus.
Total Base Pay Range :
$36,.00 - $54,.00
