Position Overview :

As the Staff Product Designer, you will be responsible for shaping the consumer-centric design of our AI-powered e-commerce experience.

You will lead the end-to-end design process, collaborating closely with engineers, and AI scientists to deliver intuitive and visually compelling experiences optimized for conversion.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of the founding team to drive innovation in product design and contribute directly to the growth and success of our dynamic startup.

Key Responsibilities :

Design Strategy : Lead the product design strategy, aligning user needs, business goals, and technological capabilities to create compelling and differentiated experiences.

User Research : Conduct user research and usability testing, and gather insights to inform design decisions and validate product concepts.

• Prototyping and Wireframing : Create interactive prototypes, wireframes, and mockups to visualize and iterate on design solutions, ensuring seamless user flows and intuitive interactions.
• Collaboration : Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams of engineers and data scientists, to design solutions that enhance user satisfaction and engagement.
• UI / Visual Design : Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces, adhering to brand guidelines and ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
• Interaction Design : Define interactions, animations, and micro-interactions that enhance usability and provide a delightful user experience.
• Design Systems : Contribute to the development and maintenance of a design system and component library, promoting consistency and scalability in design across the platform.
• Prototyping and Testing : Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and usability testing results to continuously improve product usability and satisfaction.
• Hands on Execution : Act as a hands on individual contributor, leading by example in all aspects of the design process from ideation to execution.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design and AI, advocating for innovative solutions that drive business growth.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field.

Experience : 5+ years of experience in consumer-grade product design, UX / UI design with a significant focus on the mobile experience.

Portfolio : A strong portfolio showcasing your product design projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of user centered design principles and processes.

Technical Skills :

• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar.
• Experience with prototyping tools like Proto.io.
• Proficient in ensuring e-commerce experiences comply with ADA and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experienced in conversion rate optimization and conducting A / B testing to enhance user engagement and sales.
• Skilled in analyzing consumer psychology and understanding browsing and purchasing patterns
• Preferably possesses knowledge of AI technologies for personalizing user interactions and recommendations.
• Proficient in creating responsive designs that provide optimal viewing experiences across various devices.
• Familiarity with front end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
