The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis / St. Paul metropolitan area providing essential services to our region : transportation, wastewater treatment, growth and development of local communities, affordable housing programs, and regional park systems.
This position will be filled at a 2 or 3 level depending on qualifications. Will work with Council divisions to develop new and innovative GIS applications and databases.
Will lead GIS projects; create web mapping applications, create cartographic products and reports, perform spatial analyses and processing tasks;
develop and maintain GIS datasets, utilize GIS programming techniques; and collaborate with other internal and external GIS professionals to efficiently deliver GIS products, applications and services.
Work tasks are varied and provide challenging and rewarding opportunities.
This position is eligible for hybrid (remote and onsite) teleworking.
GIS Specialist 2
Full Salary Range : $72,176 - $108,909 Annually
GIS Specialist 3
Full Salary Range : $78,000 - $117,728 Annually
