Shipping and Receiving Clerk opportunity at Triad Fabricators
Triad Fabricators, based in Evansville, Indiana, was formed by consolidating three legacy fabrication shops; Traylor Bros. (founded in 1946), Sterling Industrial (founded in 1982), and Traylor Industrial (founded in 1984).

Position Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in the logistics and operations of our fabrication shop. This position involves accurately and efficiently handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that all materials are properly documented, stored, and distributed to the appropriate departments.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments of materials, supplies, and equipment
- Verify the accuracy of shipments by checking packing lists and purchase orders
- Inspect and document any damages or discrepancies in received items
- Organize and store materials in designated areas
- Prepare and pack products for outbound shipments
- Generate shipping labels and ensure all documentation is accurate
- Coordinate with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries
- Communicate with internal departments to schedule shipments and coordinate logistics
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels
- Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Monitor and report low stock levels to the purchasing department
- Inspect products for quality before shipment
- Report any quality issues or defects to the appropriate departments
- Provide timely updates on shipment status and expected delivery dates
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling materials
- Ensure compliance with shipping and receiving regulations and procedures
