MANAGEMENT TRAINEE

MITER Brands is a residential window and door manufacturer that provides a leading portfolio of window and door brands for the new construction and replacement segments.

MITER Brands also known as Milgard and MI Windows & Doors, is one of the nation's largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.

We are looking for a Management Trainee for our Temecula, California manufacturing plant. In this role you will have a 16-week comprehensive management training program designed to develop and prepare you for a Production Leadership role (Senior Supervisor, Production Manager), or in a Technical Leadership role (Engineer, Quality Manager, TSM) role within the Company.

The ultimate career path will depend upon the trainee's career goals, abilities and performance as well as business needs over time.

Pay Range : 66k - 82k, depending on experience

What will you learn and do?

• Get a detailed perspective and gain experience in state of the art, end to end manufacturing processes and systems in a world-class manufacturing environment
• Understand full current state value stream, create a future state map, and be able to successfully implement meaningful improvements to the value stream
• Learn, develop, and implement lean manufacturing tools to drive manufacturing improvements
• Build and develop leadership skills, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Develop team members in production lines to improve personal performance and safety
• Develop soft skills, in public speaking, and improve presentation skills
• Develop a voice amongst the other leaders
• Drive positive change in the KPI's of Safety, Quality, OTD, Cost
• Understand Milgard Infrastructure (ERP, Processes, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Flow)
• Be deployable to other locations and use tools learned in this program to drive manufacturing improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, STEM, or manufacturing related field required
• Open to relocation in the future for career growth
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a high growth environment
• Ability to work flexible hours depending upon business needs
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight timetables
• Must be detail oriented
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel as needed
