Responsibilities
Perform electroneurodiagnostic testing.
- Perform set up and preparation of equipment / supplies for ordered test.
- Review patient's history, obtain any necessary information or documentation and provide education to patient about procedures.
Monitor and document patient's condition at all times and reports any adverse reactions.
Operate and maintain a variety of equipment to obtain diagnostic data, which may include EEG (Electroencephalography), EP (Evoked Potential), and PSG (Polysomnography) equipment.
Recognize and correct for artifacts.
Score / graph, document and report results of diagnostic procedures.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration :
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.
- Technologist specializing in Nerve Conduction Study credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.
- Technologist specializing in Neurophysiologic Intraop Monit credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.
- Technologist specializing in Evoked Potential credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.
Education :
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree / Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
