MERCHANDISER / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

An established flooring company in the Fort Myers, FL area is searching for a Merchandiser / Administrative Assistant to join their growing team.

- Hourly Range : $19 - $29 (based on experience)
- Full Time 40 hrs. / 5-day work week (Monday to Friday : 8 : 30 am-5 : 00 pm)

Responsibilities :
- Answer phones, schedule appointments & manage correspondence
- Filing paperwork, creating / maintaining inhouse projects & generating reports when needed
- Maintain accurate records & databases
- Assist in marketing efforts by preparing promotional materials, ensure marketing & front sign is current
- Maintain product catalog & product pricing for all showroom displays
- Coordinate with vendors reps to schedule time to set up showroom displays
- Schedule project measurements for the sales team
- Assist in documenting and / or creating company procedures / standards
- Enter daily metrics within an Excel spreadsheet
- Assist owner, office manager & sales manager on various assigned tasks
- Anticipate the needs of others to ensure a seamless & positive experience
Desired Qualifications & Skills :
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ proven work experience as a Merchandiser, Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, or similar role.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, or marketing
- A valid driver’s license & reliable form of transportation (REQUIRED)
- Be able to pass a background check & drug test (REQUIRED)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (REQUIRED)
- Professional phone etiquette
- A positive attitude, self-motivated, & desire to exceed expectations
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Exceptional critical thinking & problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills & the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
- Ability to respond quickly to customer’s & sales team’s needs
- Advanced time management & interpersonal skills
- Professionalism, dependable, accountable, and punctual
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Knowledge of the flooring industry a big plus (Willing to train)
- Knowledge of RFMS a plus (Willing to train)
