Linux Developer - Hybrid

Linux Developer / Linux Engineer 18 Month Contract Dallas TX - HYBRID 3 times per week onsite from Day 1 QUICK INTERVIEW PROCESS NO C2C or subvendor.

Must work on W2 only Description : *

• Implement, configure, and manage Linux-based processes and infrastructure for data warehousing.
• Identify system vulnerabilities and access control issues, troubleshoot them, and implement necessary improvements.
• Enhance various Linux-based toolsets, scripts, jobs and processes.
• Participate in System upgrade projects and non-permitted technology remediation activities.Required Skills
• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with a strong emphasis on Linux development.
• Strong Practical working experience in Linux server configuration and shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of SSH / SFTP including public key authentication and configuration options.
• Practical knowledge of Unix file systems including basics of mount types, permissions, standard tools, pipes.
• Working knowledge of Python and preferably also Perl.
• Experience using and / or configuring common SDLC tools that support Agile, such as Jira, Jenkins, Ansible
• Practical working experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle Exadata
• Understanding of the Agile methodology
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Passion for automation and continual process improvement
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience
