- Must Possess excellent communication skills
- Practical experience with high power RF systems, components, and safety requirements, and strong computer skills with ability to use basic office applications needed
- Previous experience working with television transmitters
- Proven ability to function effectively under deadlines and in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of current FCC and OSHA rules and regulations
- Must be able to lift 75lbs
- Must be able to work various hours (evenings and weekends) as required
- Ability to crawl, stoop, bend, lift overhead, walk, and work in tight spaces
- Must have good vision and hearing. Be able to read a map as well as instructions, schematics, and service manuals.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather environments including frigid cold, heat and humidity, snow, rain, high winds, etc.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record (as determined by the company)

- Maintenance and installation of High and Low Power Television Transmission Systems
- Maintenance and installation of Microwave Communications Equipment including 2-13Ghz Systems
- Maintenance of Remote Transmitter Sites to include : Structures, HVAC, Tower and Antenna, Facility Control Systems, IP and Dial up
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot problems or issues related to RF systems (transmitters, translators and microwaves) in a timely and effective manner.
Ensures the station stays on air at all times-does whatever is necessary to keep station on the air. Travels to remote transmitter and translator locations for routine and emergency work.
Provides input and direction to others on solutions.
- Ensures that stations are compliant with FCC and FAA rules and regulations at all times including but not limited to : maintaining station transmitters within authorized licensed parameters, overseeing documents in the Public File, assisting in the preparation of license renewal applications.
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation and Benefits When extending an offer, the company considers a variety of factors such as (but not limited to) the candidate's work experience, education / training & key skills as well as internal peer equity and other market and business considerations.
The range for this position is $$ per hour. ($55,000-$70,000 per year)
