We arelooking for an experienced mechanic for a local 18 wheeler deliverycompany. This position will be a lead mechanic and shop supervisor.
Candidate will need to have experience with 18 wheeler truckmaintenance as well as be able to supervise a small mechanics team.
Requirements
Strong and continuous focus onsafety
Participate in morning safety meetings by discussing your dailytask previous days achievements / challenges and any status ofongoingprojects
Actively troubleshoot any issues with equipment trucks and vehiclesthat failed a pre trip or post trip inspection. Coordinate with theoperators drivers and staff to identify and fix allproblems
Routinely plan and schedule regular maintenance on all equipmentand notify Operators of upcomingservices
Routinely plan and schedule regular maintenance on all 18 wheelerTrucks
Log and record any maintenance or repairs made on equipment andtrucks while ensuring that all logs are keptcurrent
Actively participate in end of day meetings to discuss that daysachievements and challenges and as well as what to expect on thefollowing day while documenting tasks and projects on the whiteboard in the meetingroom
Continuous collaboration with management to address equipment andprocesschallenges
