Data Warehouse / Programmer (Hybrid) in Laurel, MD.
What You Will Do
- Review existing BI design and provide data warehouse solutions to address issues and concerns from earlier implementations.
- Reduce the code footprint to less than 10% by implementing code reusability and smart metadata capabilities.
- Assist current resources with mentoring and knowledge transfer activities on a need basis.
- Analyze business processes / requirements, existing transactional database schemas and design, maintain, publish multi-dimensional Data Models (logical / physical), data Dictionary using Entity-Relationship, Dimensional Modeling techniques with Erwin.
- Design, Implement, and document ETL Processes using Informatica Best Practices and Standards based on Informatica Velocity Guidelines.
- Develop Mappings using various transformations like connected / unconnected Lookups, Filter, Router, Normalizer, Aggregator, Expression, Stored procedure, Sequence Generator, Update strategy, Joiner etc.

Our minimum requirements for this role :
Required
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle 9i / 10g / 11g
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft SQL server
- Advanced knowledge of Informatica
- Advanced knowledge of OBIEE
- Knowledge of BI Apps
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other technical discipline, OR Associate degree and 3 additional years of relevant IT professional experience;
- Knowledge of Business Objects, IDMS, Oracle Data Integrator, ERWIN, Windows, Linux
- 5 years of progressive experience in application data warehouse
