What This Position Is All About :

Saks OFF 5TH is seeking an experienced, process-oriented Manager, Photo Studio to join our creative team. A successful Manager, Photo Studio is extremely organized and has excellent time management and communication skills.

The Manager, Photo Studio will manage studio operations including photo shoot logistics, equipment, digital workflow, and digital asset management.

Who You Are :

• In-depth knowledge of the latest content production technology and software trends
• Strong familiarity and experience with photo studio operations, digital workflow, and production processes
• Ability to multi-task and problem-solve seamlessly with a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills, written & verbal
• Must be able to adapt and react to changing details and priorities, and shift focus to the most important task

You Also Have :

• Bachelor Degree in Photography or related field
• 4+ years of experience in professional digital photography and retail photo studio operations
• Prior experience in luxury retail is preferred

As Manager, Photo Studio, you will be responsible for :

DIGITAL ASSET WORKFLOW

• End-to-end management of all digital asset workflow including naming, capture, processing, organization, backup, and archival
• Serve as point person for all digital best practices and specs required for all end-use applications in accordance with Saks Off 5th standards
• Ensure specs, workflows, and processes are communicated and followed by all internal and third-party capture teams
• Responsible for the input of metadata and custom taxonomy for efficient image search

PHOTO EQUIPMENT

• Photo and digital equipment inventory management
• Perform systematic maintenance for all photo equipment inventory and software (Capture One, Adobe Suite, DAM)
• Track and prepare photo equipment requests for all studio and location shoots

STUDIO OPERATIONS

• Manage the day-to-day operations of Saks OFF 5th's studio as the point of contact for all studio coordination
• Manage all internal and external relationships, working with cross-functional teams (IT, building facilities, marketing), clients, and vendors
• Participate in long-term planning and resource allocation discussions
• Manage studio shipping / receiving of all deliveries including props, photo equipment, and samples
• Oversee the physical studio space on a day-to-day basis while ensuring all amenities are outfitted for both live production and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate and assist with SO5 internal stakeholders for company-sponsored events utilizing the photo studio

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $100,000 / year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits), dependent on the position offered.
