Position : Sr. Quality Engineer / SDET

Location : Raleigh, NC remote-first with quarterly team onsite, must driving distance from Raleigh

Compensation : 50-55 / hr W2

Terms : Contract

We are looking for a Sr. Quality Engineer / Software Developer in Test to join a tight-knit team of skilled senior developers and engineers building software for the finance and real estate industries.

This role will focus on automating web testing in a Azure DevOps environment working with Git, Postman, MS Test, Cypress / MS Playwright and C#.

The team works primarily remotely(no set onsite schedule) and occasionally meets up for milestone meetings and team events in Raleigh, NC, so we are looking for candidates within driving distance of Raleigh .

This role would start out as a one year contract and have potential to extend or convert to full time at that point.

You’ll work with a team responsible for greenfield development for a web-based tool that streamlines communications with closing and title professionals, making the closing process faster, easier, and more cost effective.

What will you do as a Sr. Quality Engineer ?

  • Work closely with architects and business partners to define Agile stories for new capabilities
  • Create Test Plans for features
  • Understand functional and non-functional requirements
  • Design and code automated tests to validate new features / enhancements
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Create / update automated tests to validate functional and non-functional requirements and security of features
  • Create integration tests
  • Work with the Infrastructure team to build testing environments with necessary tools and frameworks
  • Work with Release Management team to configure test pipelines for automated test execution
  • Develop tools and employ best practices that will increase the efficiency of your team
  • Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and requirements team meetings
  • Report defects and track defect resolutions
  • Follow agile development practices
  • Work collaboratively and cohesively in a great team environment
  • Maintain test artifacts and repositories such as test plans, test case documents, automated test cases, execution metrics, etc.
  • Collaborate with local and remote teams

We are looking for :

  • Experience with C# and competency with Visual Studio 2015 and above
  • Proficiency with Git, Postman, MS Test
  • Proficiency with XML and JSON
  • Experience with Agile and Azure DevOps
  • Experience with UI Frameworks such as Cypress / MS Playwright is a plus
  • Self-starter who can grasp difficult concepts quickly
  • A high-level of analytical skills and attention to detail
  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 3-4 years of Test Automation Experience
