Position Summary
Maintains Quality System documentation and provides quality support to production floor. Maintains and issues quality standards, development of inspector training program, production support, etc.
Responsible for product safety and quality.
Job Elements & Position Responsibilities
- Maintain Quality System Documentation (Mold Quality Plans, Quality Procedures, Work Instructions & Forms, QC drawings, production prints, requirements packages, etc.)
- Establish and maintain quality defect standards (defect limit samples, LWR’s)
- Provide support to production operations (backtracking, defect evaluation)
- Perform gage calibration and maintain gage control database
- Perform functional testing of product and measurements.
- Backtrack internal customer complaints, internal and external.
- Create and process quality notifications in SAP
- Perform Certificate of Analysis (COA) testing of finished product as required (BOV assembly), approves COA and coordinates communication with customers.
- Evaluate and process mold audit submissions
- Quality assessments of process limit samples
- Maintain color standards and approve incoming colorants
- Develop and maintain Inspector training materials and provide training on new requirements, molds, configurations
- Perform cavity forming steel verification (includes TRWO Review)
- Provides training and certifies employees
